The Sheraton Tel Aviv is Simply Sensational

It had been a few years since we last were visitors in Israel. Now we were back in the nation on serious business – to interview as many people with significant stories as we could over a four month period to gather oral histories for our newest publishing venture, a book entitled IT HAPPENED IN ISRAEL.

We decided to stay for a couple of nights at Sheraton on the beach, where we had stayed the last time we were in Israel. And we wrote this well received article:

This time we returned to what seemed to be a bigger and brighter, and more functional Sheraton. Interestingly enough, the brand dates back to 1937 when Ernest Henderson and Robert Moore purchased the Stonehaven Hotel in Springfield, Massachusetts. The chain’s name derived from another early hotel that Henderson and Moore owned. It boasted a lighted sign on the roof saying "Sheraton Hotel."

There is no lighted sign on the roof of the hotel, but there is the Sheraton Sheraton Crest. And there are many other interesting aspects to the property. We were quartered in the hotel-within-the-hotel, located on the top floors of the 318 room including suites edifice. We had a panoramic vision of a wide pristine beach all the way down to the old city of  Jaffa,      ,

The Executive Club rooms and suites have had a major makeover, a refurbishment and redesign by well -known German designer, Bert Haler. “The Executive Club room accommodations feature a step out balcony which highlights an astounding view of the Mediterranean Sea, the old city of Jaffa or the Marina,” explained Franco Vella, Sheraton Tel Aviv’s General Manager.

“The new design also consists of parquet flooring, double glazed windows, complimentary Wi-Fi, robe and slippers, Dead Sea bath amenities,  “42” flat screen TV, recliner armchair, desk with LED lighting, a Nespresso Machine, mini bar, safe deposit box and our Sheraton Sweet sleeper bed to guarantee a good night sleep,” said Vella.

All is good including the Club Lounge on the 18th floor. “We’ve enlarged the Club Lounge by about 50 percent,” said Vella. Breakfast offerings in the Club lounge feature a chef who prepare dishes a la minute. Throughout the day hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, and a variety of beverage options, snacks, desserts and fruits are staples of the Club Lounge.

With all it has going for it, the Sheraton Tel Aviv is also  beach front hotel with the magnificent and beautiful Mediterranean Sea right there for you to enjoy. The Sheraton is also a short walk away distance from Tel Aviv’s main attractions and the city center of the "the city that never sleeps."

No wonder the Sheraton Tel Aviv is simply sensational.
