Mark Nason

By: Kellie K. Speed

For more than 25 years, Mark Nason had been designing boots so it was really no surprise when he decided to introduce his own custom line in 2004.  Prior to working on his own line, Nason garnered much of his experience while working at Skechers USA in product development and merchandising.

His love for the industry has enabled him to create a signature line, which retails for $250 to $650 for men’s footwear. Mark Nason’s newest line for women, Siren, also boasts a hefty price tag at $300 to $500 but the quality of these boots is unsurpassed.

Mark Nason has clearly been able to express his passion through his beautifully crafted boot collection. Music has played an important role in his life and Nason wants each individual’s expression of music to be displayed in his work.  Today, his success translates to the high powered musicians who can be seen wearing his boots.

His men’s collection includes Amplify, a high fashion cross strap boot with oiled leather upper and a full leather lining, inside zip, and a leather stacked heel. The boot is designed for the sophisticated gentleman in mind, made of premium Italian leathers with fine craftsmanship and attention to detail. The ankle-height western-inspired boot style, with a square toe has a great deal of style and attitude, appealing to the man who demands the finest looks and quality.

The Amplify boots are a bit dressier than many men's casual boots, but are ideal for a night on the town. The distressed leather offers a more casual look while the more shiny leather version dress up slacks or trousers.

From fashion western boots to designer cowboy boots, who knew there were so many types of western and cowboy boots to choose from? This top designer has proven his stand out quality sets him apart from his competition.  The Mark Nason line uses only top quality in craftsmanship and the finest materials.

The Mark Nason collection offers a variety a boots, some with zippers and ones that are simply pulled on and off.  Pull-on boots are oftentimes problematic for people with high arches to get on but if his boots are anything like the Amplify boot, there will be no problems sliding this sleek boot on.

The Amplify’s distressed, smooth leather offers a casual mid-calf height boot style, with square toe cap with scuffing detail.  What makes this boot so unique is the iron cross pull and overlays with embellished iron cross accent. The boot, which is made in Italy, offers a velvety smooth leather lining with a plush cushioned insole.

For those who prefer a more traditional approach to western footwear, be sure to check out the Nashville style, complete with snakeskin embossed leather upper in a dress boot style. The funky Resonance style offers a low-calf leather boot with laser etched spider web print.

If you prefer loafers to boots, be sure to check out Mark Nason’s collection of soft, full grain leather shoes, which are designed with a slip on dress style.  Some of the moccasin style shoes offer a tapered, squared toe, side stitched seams and an embossed heraldric style dragon emblem detail. If you are a fan of the Amplify, don’t miss his leather sandal collection, which includes the Crete, which is also designed with the "iron cross" center detail.
