Robert Dunn and "New Atlas of the Moon" by Thierry Legault and Serge
Brunier. The former is billed as a visual reference to the universe -
noteworthy. The latter is priced at $55.00 and has 128 beautifully
designed pages. It is an over-sized beauty that allows one to have a
complete guide to observing the moon.
Another worthy from Firefly is "Birds" by Joanna Burger, so reasonably
priced at $29.95, filled with more than 500 eye catching photographs -
this is a book to leaf through, to learn from, to have on your coffee
table. If you are a bird love or know someone who is - this is a book to
"American Vertigo" by Bernard-Henri Levy (Random House, $24.95, 308
pages) is a book to own, a book to treasure. The author spent a year
traveling across America, observing, interviewing all kinds of Americans
including celebrities like Norman Mailer, Sharon Stone, etc.) and
ordinary folk from all walks of life. Philosophical and hands on -
this is a heck of a project. Highly recommended.
"Fifty Favorite Fly-Fishing Tales by Chris Santella (Stewart, Tabori &
Chang, $24.95, 223 pages) is required reading for all those
practitioners and observers of the sport. It is also a book that will
appeal to the general public with its marvelous photos and tales from
expert anglers having a time.
