Parking Spot: Bravo Bravo
There are airport parking spots that offer many services
and conveniences, that cater to harried passengers boarding planes and
coming back from trips. All of these have things going for them. But
when it comes to over the top airport parking - -The Parking Spot is in
a class by itself.
We experienced Haynes, one of a trio of facilities of
The Parking Spot brand in New Jersey. Getting there was an ordeal with
the added confusion of flying out of Newark Liberty Airport and having
to get there via one of the tunnels running (or should we say crawling)
from Manhattan to the Garden State.
We made wrong turns, sat in line slogging through the
tunnel, crept along in a weary pace. Then one of us had a bright idea -
-call The Parking Spot and get specific directions. A friendly voice
answered and stayed with us from our dizzy location in NJ all the way to
the front door of The Parking Spot. Service like this is this day and
age was (is) truly remarkable.
Our car was on its way to valet parking and special
treatment and we were on our way on the new yellow bus of the Parking
Spot for two weeks plus in Europe on a travel writing trip. It was
divine, sunshine and flowers and nice people and world class sights.
Coming home was just the opposite - -the plane landed
a bit late due to heavy rain. We got our bags, quite a few of them, and
called the Parking Spot. Within minutes the new yellow bus arrived. We
were a bit wet, a bit jet-lagged and a very tired. No problem. The bus
driver told us to go into his clean leather seated vehicle. Relax, he
said, I will take care of everything. And he did.
We arrived back at The Parking Spot Haynes. Our car
was waiting there for us. The driver took our luggage supply out and
loaded it into our auto. They had even placed two cold bottle of water
on our dashboard. Talk about thoughtful. And we were off.
The entire experience was neater, cleaner, more human
and more economical than traditional airport parking and other parking
The motto of the Parking Spot is “We have Airport
Parking Covered.” They surely do.
