Aerolineas Argentianas: A- OK

January. Cold.  The trip ahead -- daunting.
Out of New Hampshire by car.
To Boston.
On to Miami.

Then on to Buenos Aires.
A side trip to Santiago, Chile and then a re-tracing of our steps all the way back home.
And through all of this  Aerolineas Argentianas was the constant. More than A- OK.
We were greeted, serviced by, ministered to, informed by, made to feel comfortable by a universe  of competent and friendly employees all the way through – on the phone, at the booths, by the gates, in the planes, at the baggage claims.
The entire experience was a kind of reflection of the warmth, hospitality and efficiency of the world class city of Buenos Aires.  This airline, that speaks in the accents of  Argentina, has been around now more than half a century. It  was the first to complete a round-the-world flight by a commercial airliner in 1961 and a trans-polar flight by a commercial airliner in 1980.

With its excellent dollar-to-peso exchange rate, the  many  things it has to offer,  Argentina has become a very desirable tourist destination especially during North America’s winter months. Which is probably why there was barely an empty seat on our flights.

But is was clear when the going got rough, Aerolineas Argentianas was up to any challenge – A-OK!
