|We had heard so much about the Sunday brunch at Henrietta's Table, located in the Charles Hotel that we had to go one weekend to see what all the commotion was about.
When we arrived, we were pleasantly greeted by the hostess who showed us to our table. As we passed by the salad table and dessert bar, we could hardly wait to try our brunch.
This brunch is not for those with a small appetite. From platters of jumbo shrimp, fresh sumptuous raw oysters, grilled vegetables and smoked salmon pate to the traditional breakfast items of sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, Belgian waffles, eggs benedict, there was something for everyone. Lunch items included prime rib and chicken dishes galore. We also sampled some fresh fruit and a light salad.
Desserts here have their own special section. Homemade chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies were delightful but the blueberry cheesecake and carrot cake were our favorites.
Of course, this brunch is all-you-can-eat but with it comes a hefty price tag $45 for adults. Stay as long as you want and sample as many dishes as you please. We are certainly looking forward to our next visit.
